This 1972 Chevy Vega drag car 1:18 die cast by Supercar Collectibles, Auto World, Supercar Raceway series is in excellent condition in the original box. It is a nice replica of the Pro Stock drag race car known as "Grumpy's Toy" driven by legendary racer and innovator Bill "Grumpy" Jenkins." In '72 Jenkins took advantage of NHRA rule changes allowing lighter cars with small V-8's, consistently beating the factory sponsored Chrysler teams and winning the Pro Stock Championship. As an engine builder Jenkins won 5 NHRA Pro Stock Championships and 3 AHRA Championships. The features include removable hood, opening doors and active steering. It is a limited edition piece being 1 of only 1002 made. The box is in good shape with no tears and almost no shelf wear, the plastic windows have no rips and the plastic insert is undamaged. Car has never been taken out of un opened box.
