Outside Contract Sales

Summary Slegg's Cumberland location is currently seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused individual for the position of Outside Contract Sales. Key Responsibilities * Provide superior customer service to Slegg contract customers * Build strong customer relationships through jobsite visits, reliable call backs, follow up on deliveries and quotes, and project time lines to forecast material needs * Follow up on potential new business leads to grow your business * Be a source of knowledge and willing to learn about new building materials. Lumber, Roofing, Siding, Insulation, Drywall, Hardware, Retaining Walls, Pavers, Concrete...etc. * Participate in quarterly inventory counts, be a team player * Respect and obey safety policies and procedures in our yard and on jobsites * All other duties as directed by the Regional Sales Manager Skills and Qualifications * A broad knowledge of building supplies is necessary * Building Code and best building practices knowledge an asset * Available to work a variety of hours including weekends *Competitive spirit and results driven * Become a Slegg Ambassador in the building community - participate in functions, invite your customers to join in, develop relationships and go beyond the expected * Computer Skills - Microsoft Office - Outlook - Excel * Able to multi-task and prioritize * Self-motivated and detail orientated * A positive can-do attitude is essential * Driver's License with clean abstract required Compensation * Base salary and performance incentive * Company pick-up truck * Comprehensive group benefits including employee stock purchase plan * Employee pricing on Slegg merchandise
